WHITE OAK
General features:
The colour and look of the white oak are similar to those of European oaks. The sapwood of the American white oak is light-coloured, while the colour of its heartwood ranges from light to dark brown. In most cases, the water of the white oak are parallel to the main axis of the trunk and the texture ranges from medium to hard, with longer rays than the red oak. It is for this reason in particular that the look of the white oak is more unique. Its high durability increase its use by architects and designers in construction applications. White oaks may vary in terms of colour, texture, features and qualities according to their place of origin.
